Jesse Berkin, MA, LMFT

Jesse Berkin, LMFT is a Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Jesse began working in substance abuse in 2015 and has since deepened his understanding of the more nuanced implications of substance abuse, such as attachment disorder, affect dysregulation, self disorders, and complex trauma. Jesse has furthered his studies through taking a one-year course at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies entitled “Altered States of Body and Mind: A Psychoanalytic Exploration of Substance Abuse and Eating Disorders.” Additionally, he has enriched his understanding through his experiences working with clients suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, primitive states of mind, and psychosis. Jesse is influenced by object relations, psychodynamic, Jungian, relational, Gestalt, and intersubjective schools of thought, and utilizes these modalities to best serve his clients.
